What is PageRank?
In general rules PageRank is a numeric value that represents how important a page on the web. The Google PageRank is for the way they decide the relevance of a page. And this is significant because it is one of the factors that determines the position of a page in the results.
For this great search engine when one page links to another is as if the page that links to the linked page vote. The more votes a site has, the more important possess. Thus we must consider how relevant is the vote, that Google calculates a page’s importance from the votes it gets.
Thus, the more important holding a page will be better positioned in its database. This system is based on having the links point to a web page, ie that the more pages Google link to a particular site, the more importance will be the same. This is a voting system which is not the same as the vote link or a page with PR 6 that one with PR 2. As you will have to make important sites linking our site.
In short, PageRank is a tool that uses Google for positioning a website in their directory. But you should know that having a high PageRank does not necessarily mean having more visits.
The purpose of PageRank is assigned a numerical value to web sites based on the number of times and recommend others as having their PageRank. Google wants you at the top pages are important and that in turn are recommended by others of some significance.
To determine the PageRank, Google analyzes the number of links from other websites. It works as follows, if a web page refers to another, is recommending, and if it does is because it must be important in dealing with this same theme.
The value of each of these links depends on the number of others who go to that website’s PageRank and you have the website you’re recommending. That is, for Google, what counts is the density of links and the importance of the page you recommended. If a page has a PageRank 5 and 60 links, and one of these links go to a particular page, the value of that link is 5 / 60. If a site has PageRank 3 and 10 links, and you go to another page, the value of that link is 3 / 10.
